The hybrid model appears to be replacing the traditional full-time office model. According to a recent Salesforce survey, 64% of employees are enthusiastic about hybrid work, and 37% would even be happy to move to full-time remote work. While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to implementing hybrid work, the benefits seem to coincide.

1. Decreasing operating costs

For a company, hybrid work means having fewer employees in the office at the same time. This in turn reduces the amount of physical space that needs to be made available. This drastically reduces the costs for real estate and office supplies, but the hybrid model also means fewer costs for employees, for example, because they have to commute less.

2. Increased productivity and efficiency

A hybrid setup and the associated flexible working hours bring a breath of fresh air into the otherwise monotonous workday and can thus significantly increase the focus of employees. If one is allowed to work flexibly, the workload is balanced, more responsibility is taken on and concentrated work is guaranteed. When do I have to work in a team, when is it better for me to work alone in a concentrated way? Work can be divided up sensibly at one time and only when joint teamwork is really required is work done in the office.

3. Cooperation

Hybrid work without digital transformation doesn't work. It must be easy to unite teams, engage and support employees. It is possible to communicate and collaborate, no matter where the individual employees happen to be. All of this can be made possible by companies getting to grips with modern technology and using the appropriate tools and workplace models like desk sharing.

4. work-life balance

Never coming into the office and only working from home can be isolating and distracting. A study by the Economic Times suggests that 9 out of 10 professionals believe hybrid work is essential for work-life balance. 48% of respondents say it allows them to spend equal time on their personal and professional goals.

5. safety and health

Especially after living through a pandemic, the safety and health of employees everywhere is a top priority. The hybrid model is therefore advantageous because fewer people in the office minimize the chances of passing on diseases. If fewer workers are on site, the risk of infection also decreases.
